Friends - Tare Market needs our help! Minnesota's very first package free/waste free store is opening in Minneapolis this April, and they're seeking funds to purchase some of the nitty gritty needed for their space: bulk bins, inventory, nut and coffee grinders, and a refrigerator. To help them achieve their goal, they've launched an Indiegogo campaign with some terrific perks. (yoga, zero waste travel kits, coffee, natural beauty products, private classes...we could keep going!) Please consider making a donation: the work these ladies are doing is important, and we're so lucky to have them in our neighborhood! ... See MoreSee Less

Sincerest thanks to the folks who came out this morning to chat about downsizing in a responsible manner - and all the complexities that go along with it. It was a delight to have a group with such a relaxed, conversational vibe. And another thanks to @moonpalacebooks for providing coffee and treats! Tonight we'll be chatting with some of you over at @peacecoffeeshop. We're turning the tables and focusing on those of you who are being handed a bunch of stuff that you didn't ask for (aka The Dreaded Inheritance). We'll be bouncing ideas around and sharing our own stories in the hopes of helping others. ...Meanwhile, on planet Earth... The vast majority of all plastics ever produced - around 79% - is accumulating in the deepest ocean trenches and atop mountains. And 40 percent of plastic produced is packaging, used just once and then discarded, like these bottles.
While we can't avoid creating waste altogether, we can reduce our output, and we can use our purchasing power to make impactful and sustainable decisions - because every choice makes an impact. And, for better or for worse, we're all in this together. . . . #plasticfree #plasticfreeliving #plasticfreeoceans #breakfreefromplastic #plasticfreelife #plasticfreeforthesea #plasticfreeocean #plasticfreemovement #plasticfreedom #plasticfreerevolution #bansingleuseplastic #zerowaste #lowwaste #ethicalconsumerism #zerowastemovement #zerowastecollective #zerowastejourney #zerowastelifestyle #zerowasteliving #goingzerowaste #lowwaste #lowwasteliving #lowwastemovement #lowwastelifestyle #refusesingleuse #choosetorefuse #refusereducereuserecycle #refusesingleuseplastic #refusereuserecycle #ethical #ethicalliving ... Ever feel like your stuff is preventing you from living your best life? Too much of anything can hold us back, especially when we're going through a major life transition. You may find yourself needing to pare down your possessions in preparation for a move, or dealing with a houseful of material goods after a loved one passes. We've learned a thing or two over our years of working with estates, and we think it's time to share our experiences with others. We're also anxious to extend resources, tips, and perhaps a new way of thinking about the 'stuff' we hold so dearly. If you're at all curious, we've got a couple classes coming up this Tuesday: one for the empty nesters and another for the folks who anticipate emptying a loved one's estate at some point in the future. Our classes are donation based, and any money given will help us defray setup costs and, ultimately, ensure that we’re able to continue offering events and classes to our community. See all of our upcoming classes here: https://bit.ly/2GfwfbY If there are any particular questions or concerns keeping you up at night, we'd love to hear from you. Let us know in the comments, and we hope to see some of you on Tuesday! ... See MoreSee Less
