Estate Cleanout Support Application Application for Estate Cleanout Support To be used by people actively engaged in the estate liquidation process What we doWe sometimes partner with families or estate professionals to cull useful products from what remains of a household's contents after an occupant has moved on. When we agree to do this, we trade our time for whatever we are able to salvage from an otherwise trash-bound collection of things. The estate holder's conundrumDuring the estate cleanout process, we've found estate holders follow a clear attachment/detachment continuum: first, they'll (legitimately!) seek to cull any emotional value or revenue potential from the estate. Once they've put in as much effort as they're willing for whatever return they're able to achieve, they'll move temporarily to equilibrium (wanting it gone, patiently holding out for a cost-free solution) before becoming impatient to purge the estate of its now-unprofitable contents. Often, estate holder do not realize the high costs (financial, temporal, emotional) of emptying an estate until they have decided they want everything gone yesterday. Where we fit: at the point of equilibrium between estateholder profit and estateholder lossWe do not pay for product, nor do we currently charge estate holders for the removal of unwanted materials (this practice is subject to change with market conditions). Instead, we offer to engage at that specific point in the process where it is in the best interests of the estate holder - in their opinion - to let go of as much product as possible with minimal expense to the estate. This point typically happens after an estate holder has begun to make phone calls and has learned that it will cost several thousands of dollars to empty the contents of the estate in question. When we agree to engage, the estate holder agrees to release claim to anything we are able to glean in trade for our investment of time and labor. Our intention is to bring relief, and to perform carbon capture (everything that exists is embodied energy) in the form of existing goods that would otherwise have been relegated to a trash heap: win-win-win.What we will not doWe will not pay you - or your client - for any contents of an estate - nor will we agree (under any circumstances) to clean out or empty an estate. We take our environmental responsibility - and accountability - seriously. As such, we will adopt only the things we believe we can rehome -- we do not choose to take will remain the responsibility of the estate. We offer no guarantees as to how much we will or will not be able to absorb; this depends largely on the quality, organization, and condition of the contents of the estate. We will not agree to relinquish anything found during the estate's excavation: finding and removing wanted items is the express responsibility of the estate holder, and should be done prior to contracting with Junket - although we may choose - at our discretion - to disclose & donate items believed to be of sentimental value to stakeholders. When to reach outOur schedule fills up quickly.
