SOLD – Dacora Achromat Camera circa 1950s

Out of stock

SKU: JD020929 Category: Tags: , ,

Manufactured by German company, Dacora, in the mid-1950s. This camera uses 120 film and features a pop-out 80mm f/8 lens and a fixed shutter speed of 1/50. We have not tested the camera. Moving parts seem to be in working order, although they are a bit stiff.

Secondhand goods are literally embodied energy, and choosing them instead of buying new products avoids the new manufacturing emissions that amplify climate change, extends the useful life of practical goods, and steers clear of unnecessary landfill waste.

We’d rather know that the world’s limited resources are available for more important things than commodity office products: we value our future, your future, and survival basics: clean drinking water and a habitable planet. Your decision to choose this remanufactured product instead of buying a new or recycled one actually keeps carbon in the ground (and does so without caveats or asterisks).

Our decision to use/offer the most sustainable shipping methods possible means you can feel good about that, too: your order will be shipped in secondhand packaging and will not be put on a plane. In MSP proper, we offer bicycle delivery.

Choosing to be patient is good for our shared future, and we’ll do our best to also be good to you with this order. <3 Thanks for supporting our work!
