Vintage new old stock shoelaces. Offered by color and length. Each pair is sold individually.
Laces are still in their original wrapping, which varies from pair to pair. All laces are in excellent vintage condition -- true new old stock from the 1940s to the 1970s, most made in USA. Choose among brown, black, charcoal, white, and olive drab.
From time to time, we come across additional colors we don’t actively stock (yet), or pairs that show slight shelf wear from decades in storage -- a different kind of patina. Those are grouped under our “Any Will Do!” option.
Choosing the Right Length
While the best bet for getting the right shoe lace length is to measure the ones that came with your shoes, that isn't always possible with vintage kicks.
Failing that, here's some guidance for older shoes taking narrow laces that we found on some old stock packaging... if this is the route you choose, you can count the number of pairs of eyelets on one shoe, then match that to the options below below:
1–2 eyelet pairs → 18"-24"
3–4 eyelet pairs → 24"-30"
5–6 eyelet pairs → 27"-30
7–8 eyelet pairs → 30"-36
9–10 eyelet pairs → 36"-40"
11–12 eyelet pairs → 40"-48"
Note: Lace style, eyelet spacing, and how tightly you lace your shoes can all affect the ideal length. If you're not replacing an existing pair, consider lacing your shoes with cotton twine or strong yarn to gauge preferred length before ordering.

The Fine Print• 100% secondhand packaging

• ground shipping only
This is climate-competent commerce, and we talk a bit more about each of these strategies on our 'official' shipping policy page:
-
Proactive Satisfaction + Refunds
Refund policyWe have adopted a 'generally generous' approach to fulfilling many of our product listings, as sending a wee bit extra can avoid costly errors & 'fix it' shipments (besides, we find most folks appreciate the occasional freebie).
.
That said, if you would prefer to avoid the extras, we will gladly rightsize or downsize your order on request (product price would remain the same because more labor + less product = wash). If you prefer this option, please include a detailed order note to specify the quantity you wish to recieve (i.e. 'please send precise count of 7 for XYZ product').
.
As a rule, we discourage returns - but we also don't abide crappy customer experiences. To initiate issue resolution in the event that we miss the boat with your order (gaps happen!), head to our refund policy page (linked here - and at the bottom of any page) to get started.
'This is a phenomenal shop! Every little detail screams "love, care, quality, reduce, repurpose, reuse, upcycle!" Cannot recommend highly enough! I was blown away! My favorite new shop of 2022!'
