Unlike modern plastic buttons, genuine shell has natural depth, subtle variation, and a soft iridescent glow that changes with the light.

Each set is selected from a larger collection of vintage shell buttons and matched as closely as possible for size, color family, and overall appearance. Because these are genuine shell, every button is naturally unique. Variations in nacre, luster, thickness, and the reverse side are expected and are part of the character and beauty of the material.
Some buttons may retain tiny traces of original thread or gentle signs of previous use. Any wear is cosmetic and appropriate for their age.

That said, if you would prefer to avoid the extras, we will gladly rightsize or downsize your order on request (product price would remain the same because more labor + less product = wash). If you prefer this option, please include a detailed order note to specify the quantity you wish to recieve (i.e. 'please send precise count of 7 for XYZ product').
