Each order includes five continuous yards of vintage Conso 20/4 four-cord cotton thread in your choice of color.
Strong, smooth, and firmly twisted, this professional-quality utility thread has a polished glacé finish that helps reduce fuzz and tangling while stitching. It’s finer than traditional chunky button-and-carpet thread, but considerably more substantial than ordinary sewing thread—a useful middle weight for repairs and handwork that need strength without unnecessary bulk.
Conso threads were made for the demanding worlds of upholstery, drapery, trimming, and other professional textile work. This old-stock cotton thread is well suited to:
- upholstery and drapery repairs
- sturdy buttons and garment repairs
- bookbinding—wax it first!
- canvas and heavier fabrics

Because most people don’t need 500.

Refund policyWe have adopted a 'generally generous' approach to fulfilling many of our product listings, as sending a wee bit extra can avoid costly errors & 'fix it' shipments (besides, we find most folks appreciate the occasional freebie).

That said, if you would prefer to avoid the extras, we will gladly rightsize or downsize your order on request (product price would remain the same because more labor + less product = wash). If you prefer this option, please include a detailed order note to specify the quantity you wish to recieve (i.e. 'please send precise count of 7 for XYZ product').
