If you, too, miss the social aspects of past Sunday morning ritual gatherings (but choose to avoid those in which you were raised), this may just be the opportunity you didn't know you were missing: donuts + coffee + easy social connection + a creative project.

These analog (phones off) events will take place from 9-11:30AM on the third Sunday of each month in Stevens Square, beginning in March 2025. Here are the themes for this series:

  • March 16: Experimental Ink
  • April 20: Freestyle Paper Quilling
  • May 18: Blackout Poetry
  • June 15: Tiny Collage
  • July 20: Hand Lettering Studio
  • August 17: Mixed Fiber Mâche
  • September 21: Found Object Ink-making
  • October 19: Snail Mail Envelopes
  • November 16: School Glue Plique-á-Jour
  • December 21: Mixed Media, Stitched

While there will be some product and creative process prompts for each gathering, there will be no formal instruction: creative problem-solving and peer-to-peer knowledge sharing are good skills to have on hand during rapidly changing conditions (social, environmental, political...you get the idea).

Ticket price is per event and includes light coffee/pastry fare and a curated array of 100% post-consumer-sourced supplies and tools. Take-home supplies/materials will be available for optional purchase (and take-home tools may be available on a subscription or rental basis - we're still working that out and would welcome your input).

While we'll gather outside as weather conditions permit, our default/backup/project location is a third story walkup apartment with proactively managed air quality (spacious room, open windows, air filtration).

Masks are optional (unless you're experiencing symptoms of viral illness, in which case we ask that you prioritize community health and let us know you'll be unable to attend. In return for two hours advance notice of your inability to attend due to illness, we'll gladly issue credit that may be applied to any of our classes or products.

Another note on air quality and community health: given that carbon/CO2-e emissions are heavily front-loaded into the pre-consumer phases of any product's environmental lifecycle without regard for societal health or habitat, these classes are facilitated and run using exclusively post-consumer materials and supplies.

Attendees are asked to actively consider the eco impact of their travel mode: walk, bike, and public transit are encouraged (carpool works, too): slow living is good for our brains and souls.

If you'd like to participate, but cost is prohibitive, please reach out about opportunities to assist with setup or facilitation - or sign up for one of our social sorting sessions to earn credit toward events, classes and products!

If you'd like to participate but stairs are prohibitive, please check out our monthly classes at Evergreen Collective in St. Paul, MN (transit friendly & ADA-accessible).

Looking forward!

This is climate-competent commerce, and we talk a bit more about each of these strategies on our 'official' shipping policy page:

    The Fine Print
  • Proactive Satisfaction + Refunds

We have adopted a 'generally generous' approach to fulfilling many of our product listings, as sending a wee bit extra can avoid costly errors & 'fix it' shipments (besides, we find most folks appreciate the occasional freebie).

    .

That said, if you would prefer to avoid the extras, we will gladly rightsize or downsize your order on request (product price would remain the same because more labor + less product = wash). If you prefer this option, please include a detailed order note to specify the quantity you wish to recieve (i.e. 'please send precise count of 7 for XYZ product').

    .

As a rule, we discourage returns - but we also don't abide crappy customer experiences. To initiate issue resolution in the event that we miss the boat with your order (gaps happen!), head to our refund policy page (linked here - and at the bottom of any page) to get started.
