A full working rainbow of peel-away grease pencils for marking glass, plastic, porcelain, glazed ceramics, metal, and other smooth surfaces.

Each set includes six pencils:

Red • Orange • Yellow • Green • Blue • Purple

Grease pencils—also known as china markers—are a practical, toward-zero-waste alternative to disposable labels and newly manufactured marking tools. They can be sharpened simply by pulling the string and peeling away the paper wrapper—no pencil sharpener required.

Every pencil in this set has been gathered from post-consumer or dormant old-stock sources, keeping useful materials in circulation while avoiding the upstream impacts of manufacturing six new pencils.

Pencils may be vintage, new old stock, or gently used and will likely come from different manufacturers. We will select the longest examples available, with each pencil measuring at least 5.5 inches. Photos are representative. 

Because these are assembled from recovered inventory, wrappers, brands, typography, shades, and condition will vary. The result will always be one usable pencil in each of the six listed color families.
