A pair of vintage Austrian souvenir brooches celebrating Salzburg and Österreich (Austria), with wonderfully elaborate Alpine and heraldic details.
The larger Salzburg brooch centers a colorful scenic shield within an ornate dimensional mountaineering design featuring edelweiss, climbing equipment and Alpine motifs. The smaller Österreich brooch features the Austrian eagle in a colorful shield surrounded by a decorative metal frame.
A particularly good pair for a vintage travel-jewelry collection, Alpine or Austrian display, traditional hat decoration, or a wonderfully maximalist lapel.

- Salzburg scenic brooch: approximately 2 1/2" across at its widest point
- Österreich eagle brooch: approximately 1 1/2" across
- Combined weight: 0.23 oz
- Silver-tone metal with colorful scenic/heraldic inserts
- Both have pin-back closures
- Metal tested nonmagnetic; exact alloy is unknown
- Unmarked as to maker
Vintage condition with age-related wear, oxidation/tarnish and surface variation. The Salzburg piece shows notably heavier oxidation and finish loss on the reverse. Please review the photographs closely; they are part of the condition description.
