One Dozen Vivid Vintage Upholstery Tacks Leatherlike ("Leatherene") Finish • New Old Stock • Midcentury Industrial Supply

Mid-century upholstery manufacturers offered these wonderful Leatherlike (also marketed as Leather-Look, Leatherene, and similar trade names) decorative tacks in an incredible range of colors. Designed to blend beautifully into leather upholstery—or provide bold contrast—they're just as delightful today as they were decades ago.

Each order includes one dozen (12) vintage new old stock upholstery tacks in your choice of color.

Many of these colors have become increasingly difficult to replenish. We began offering a full spectrum after stumbling onto a remarkable Montana estate cache around 2015, and we've continued hunting for additional colors and original manufacturer documentation ever since.

Several finishes have now been identified in their original Turner & Seymour packaging, including Leatherlike Black (Style 1000: approximately .45" diameter × .60" length) and Leatherlike White (Style 1001: approximately .50" diameter × .625" length).

Other colors remain unidentified but are believed to have been manufactured by Turner & Seymour alongside companies including Mattatuck, Atlas, and likely several others. Research continues, and as additional colors can be confidently documented, we'll gladly add both the colors and their provenance to this growing collection.

Some colors have already sold out—and a few may never return.

Because these were produced by multiple manufacturers over many years, dimensions vary slightly by color and finish, just as they did originally. Most of the currently unidentified varieties measure approximately 5/8" long with a 1/2" diameter head.
